NBA Recap: Warriors, Celtics, Raptors pick up wins
Thunder, Knicks, Cavaliers also win their games
The Golden State Warriors kept up their good form with a 122-108 win over the Houston Rockets in their NBA clash on Monday. Steph Curry led the scoring for the Warriors with 40 points, five rebounds and nine assists in the game. Andrew Wiggins contributed 23 points and Klay Thompson finished with 14 points.
The Toronto Raptors put up a strong second-half performance to defeat the Atlanta Hawks 106-100. Gary Trent Jr recorded 31 points on the night and Pascal Siakam finished with 25 points. Fred VanVleet recorded a double-double of 16 points and 11 assists.
The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a 98-81 win over the Portland Trail Blazers in their NBA clash. Luguentz Dort led the scoring for the Thunder with 18 points, while rookie Josh Giddy contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Boston Celtics defeated the high-flying Miami Heat 122-92 thanks to 29 points from Jaylen Brown and 20 points and 12 rebounds from Jayson Tatum in the game.
New York Knicks defeated the Sacramento 116-96 at the Madison Square Garden. Alec Burks led the scoring for the Knicks with 21 points in the game, with Julius Randle and Evan Fournier contributing 17 and 18 points, respectively.
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 93-90 in their NBA clash. Brandon Goodwin led the scoring with 21 points for the Cavaliers, with Jarrett Allen contributing 16 points. Kevin Love recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Philadelphia 76ers needed overtime to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 122-119. Tyrese Maxey led the scoring with 33 points and Tobias Harris scored 31 points. Andre Drummond contributed a double-double of 16 points and 23 rebounds.
The Indiana Pacers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 122-116 in their NBA encounter. Isaiah Jackson led the scoring with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Caris Leverton had 17 points for the Pacers.
