NBA Summer League: Bam Adebayo stars in Miami Heat’s loss to Indiana Pacer
Bam Adebayo scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Miami Heat 83-86 loss to Indiana Pacer in their third game at the ongoing Summer League on the practice court of the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center.
The Nigerian-born center who was selected by Heats in number 14 during the just concluded 2017 NBA draft continued to showcase his readiness to step up when the regular season begins.
The 19-year-old recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds in Miami Heat 74-67 loss in their first summer league game against Charlotte Hornets before dropping 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in their 81-68 loss to Orlando Magic in their second game.
Adebayo showed why he has drawn a comparison with the great Shaquille O’Neal and hinting at why the Heat might be having another Hassan Whiteside in their roaster with his effectiveness on both ends of the court and his ability to protect the rim.
Bam Adebayo has now recorded his second double-double in three games.
