Jokic Leads new NBA MVP Ladder as SGA and Luka follow close behind
The NBA has released its latest Kia MVP Ladder for December 5, 2025. Nikola Jokic remains in the top position. The Denver Nuggets center continues to set the pace, and his scoring has stayed consistent through the early part of the season.
Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander moves into second place. His performances for the Oklahoma City Thunder have been steady and efficient. As a result, he remains one of the main reasons for the team’s strong start.
Luka Dončić is now third. He continues to post strong numbers for the Los Angeles Lakers. Because of his playmaking and scoring, he remains central to the team’s offense.
The NBA’s MVP Ladder looks at several things. These include how well a player is scoring, how efficient they are, how they rank in advanced stats, how their team is performing, and how consistent they have been. All three players are putting up strong numbers and playing important roles. Therefore, the race remains close.
As the season continues, the rankings may change again. Jokic is in front for now. However, SGA and Dončić are still close and could move up depending on how they play in the next few weeks.
I don’t agree with this MVP Ladder. The best and hottest team in the NBA right now, the OKC, has a LEADER, he’s SGA. The best man in that team is SGA. SGA is so great that he just need to motivate his teammates to play better, with his playing style, and let him out of the games for much more minutes.
