NBA Wrap-up: Karl-Anthony Towns drops 60 points for Timberwolves against Spurs

Green returns for Warriors in win, Lakers' slump continues

Karl-Anthony Towns delivered a career-high tally of 60 points for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they defeated the San Antonio Spurs 149-139 in their NBA encounter on Monday.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the scoring with 60 points and 17 rebounds for the Timberwolves. Keldon Johnson recorded 34 points for the San Antonio Spurs in the game. It was the first time in his career that he scored up to 60 points in a game.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 32 of his 60 points in the third quarter of the game. His tally of 60 points was also a franchise record for the Timberwolves.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Washington Wizards 126-112 as influential Draymond Green made his return from a back injury that has kept him out for an extended spell. Steph Curry led the scoring for them in the game with 47 points, and Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole scored 20 points each. Green finished with six points, six rebounds and seven rebounds.

Toronto Raptors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 114-103 to compound their misery since the All-Star break. Pascal Siakam scored 27 points with 11 rebounds, and Gary Trent Jr recorded 28 points. LeBron James tallied 30 points, but could not save his team from defeat.

Evan Mobley scored a career-high 30 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 120-111. The rookie was helped by Davies Garland, who tallied 24 points and 13 assists in the game.

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 114-110 in their NBA clash on Monday. Nikola Jokic scored 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Nuggets as Will Barton tallied 20 points. Joel Embiid contributed 34 points for the 76ers.

Milwaukee Bucks defeated Utah Jazz 117-111 in their NBA clash on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the scoring with 30 points and 15 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday contributed 29 points in the win.

Atlanta Hawks defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 122-113 in the NBA on Monday. Trae Young led the scoring with 46 points and 12 assists in the game.

Charlotte Hornets defeated Oklahoma City Thunder 134-116 in the NBA on Monday. Terry Rozier led the scoring for the Hornets with 30 points, and Miles Bridges added 27 points in the game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers in the game with 32 points for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sacramento Kings defeated the Chicago Bulls 112-103. DeAaron Fox led the scoring with 34 points, six rebounds and six assists in the game.
