Ndifreke Effiong scores first goal for Al Quwa Al-Jawiya in comprehensive win over Al Sinaah

Ndifreke Effiong scored his first goal for Al Quwa Al-Jawiya as they secured a comprehensive 4-0 win over Al Sinaah on Saturday.

The former Akwa United FC forward bagged his first goal for the Iraqi Premier League side in the 48th minute to break the deadlock against Al Sinaah.

Al Quwa Al-Jawiya manager Hakeem Shakir named the Nigerian forward in his starting XI for his second game, his first in front of the Al Shaab Stadium home support.

After a drab first half, Nigerian forward Ndifreke Effiong brought the game to life with his goal three minutes after the restart.

Al Quwa Al-Jawiya was unstoppable from then on. Three further strikes ensured a convincing 4-0 win over Al Sinaah on Saturday Febuary 18.

The victory takes the Bagdàd based outfit to top spot in the Iraqi Premier League. Two points above Al Talaab who play on Sunday.
