Ndifreke Effiong walks away from Al Ahly Benghazi over contract breach

Ex-Nigeria U-23 Eagles utility player Ndifreke Effiong has terminated his contract with Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi over contract breaches.
Effiong joined Al Ahly Benghazi in May 2021 and enjoyed a goal-laden stay in Libya but that will end before the December 2024 due date as a result of unfulfilled contract terms SportsRation reports.
The former Akwa United FC man is owed over 3 months wages plus other unfulfilled financial agreements by Al Ahly Benghazi.
Ndifreke Effiong through his representatives have dragged Al Ahly before world football governing body FIFA to answer for this contractual breaches.
Following his departure from the Libyan Premier League club, free-agent Effiong is not short of suitors.
His experience at international level with Nigeria, prolificacy in front of goal and versatility an attraction for several top clubs.
On their part, Al Ahly Benghazi kicked off their 2022/2023 Libyan Premier League season with a 0-0 draw at Al Sadaqa on Wednesday October 19.
