Neymar stokes fire of Mbappe feud with response to journalist

Brazil and PSG star Neymar further fanned the embers around the rumours of an ongoing feud with his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe. Both superstars are contracted to the Ligue 1 Champions and have started the season brilliantly.

After delivering two assists as Brazil thrashed Ghana 3-0 in a friendly match, Neymar faced the press on his way out of the stadium. Nigerian journalist Ojora Babatunde asked the Brazilian superstar about his relationship with the 23-year-old Frenchman, but Neymar merely scoffed and mumbled some inaudible words in English before exiting the stage.

Both men were said to have been at loggerheads this season after a penalty saga ensued between the pair in their Ligue 1 clash against Montpellier. Since then, it has been revealed that Mbappe had failed to assist either Neymar or fellow superstar forward Lionel Messi since the start of the season.

When quizzed about the relationship between himself and his Brazilian teammate this season, Mbappe revealed that their relationship was not so great, with there being times of friendship and times where they did not speak to each other at all.

Neymar has already scored 11 goals and made 10 assists in 12 games in all competitions this season. Mbappe, on the other hand, also has 11 goals in all competitions this season.

With PSG in pursuit of a first UEFA Champions League crown, it is important for their two star forwards to sort out their differences and help the team achieve its goals.
