Nigeria 3-1 Niger Republic: Flying Eagles book AFCON spot, reach WAFU B U-20 final

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria came from behind to defeat Niger Republic 3-1 in the semi-final of the 2024 WAFU B U20 Championship.

Niger took an early lead in the 10th minute and worked hard to protect their slim advantage. However, Nigeria responded 25 minutes later, scoring the equaliser in the 35th minute.

Determined to secure a spot in the CAF U20 African Nations Cup and defend their title from two years ago, the Flying Eagles pressed harder in the second half. Their efforts paid off with two more goals, sealing their place in the final.

The victory puts Nigeria within reach of both the championship trophy and a ticket to the African Nations Cup.
