Nigeria Cricket Federation banks on new Coach Daniel Gim’s experience
The Nigeria Cricket Federation is relying on the experience of newly appointed coach Daniel Gim to boost the national team’s performance.
General Manager Emeka Igwilo expressed confidence in Gim’s ability to deliver results, particularly as the men’s U19 team prepares for upcoming challenges.
The federation has re-appointed Gim, who previously coached the men’s U19 team, to build on his experience and ensure success for Nigeria on the international stage.
“Our performance at this stage in 2019 gave us the first World Cup ticket, and this stage has always put us in the spotlight since then. We are banking on the experience of the coaching staff and hard work to scale the next stage,” Igwilo told Punch correspondent.
Both the national U19 boys and girls teams will begin their quest for World Cup qualification, with the qualifiers scheduled to run from July 31 to August 19.
