Nigeria Draw Zambia, Egypt, Malawi in WAFCON 2026 Group Stage

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the group fixtures for the 14th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be hosted by Morocco in 2026.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Egypt and Malawi. All Group C matches will be played in Casablanca.
Hosts Morocco headline Group A, where they will face Algeria, Senegal and Kenya.
Group B includes South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Tanzania, while Group D features Ghana, Cameroon, Mali and Cape Verde.
Matches at the tournament will be hosted across Rabat (two venues), Casablanca and Fès.
According to the NFF, the competition carries high stakes, as all four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria, the most successful team in the history of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, will be aiming to reach the semi-finals and secure a World Cup ticket as they begin their campaign from Group C in Casablanca.
