Nigeria-eligible George Ilenikhena continues fine form as Monaco beat Le Havre

Nigeria-eligible youngster George Ilenikhena continued his fine form, bagging an assist as Monaco won 3-1 against Le Havre in the French Ligue 1.

Monaco maintained their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive 3-1 victory over Le Havre in their Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Louis II.

Fresh off their 2-1 win over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, Monaco were full of confidence and once again displayed their strength with another commanding performance.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 9th minute when Takumi Minamino set up Jordan Teze, who slotted the ball home with great composure. However, Le Havre found an equalizer through Daler Kuzyaev in the 30th minute, making it 1-1 at halftime.

Monaco took control in the second half when Eliesse Ben Seghir found the back of the net after receiving a through ball from Wilfried Singo. Folarin Balogun sealed the win with a well-placed finish following a beautiful pass from Super Eagles-eligible George Ilenikhena.

Monaco’s 3-1 triumph keeps them in excellent form, marking their fourth win in five matches across all competitions. Ilenikhena continued his impressive form, having contributed significantly in Monaco’s previous Champions League win against Barcelona.
