Nigeria to host Africa again as NHF plans an eventful 2019 calender year
Barely seven months after hosting the biggest hockey club competition in Africa, Nigeria is set to host Africa again.
The Nigeria Hockey Federation has announced that the country will welcome other West African countries in July during the Targeted Assistance Program for West African Nations.
Programs lined up during the TAP week include; West African U-17 Hockey 5 competition, TAP coaching courses, Umpires courses and TO courses.
There is a slight tweak on the date of the most glamorous hockey league in the world “National Super League”, as it will be played in June this year as against its usual date to give room for preparation for Tokyo 2020 qualifiers.
The first programme of the year will be the National League one for men and women scheduled for Abuja in May.
There will also be a month camping for the men and women national team players ahead of the 2020 qualifiers scheduled for South Africa later this year.
It is going to be non stop action for Nigerian Hockey clubs, associations, players and stakeholders.
