Nigeria U-20 star Ime Sampson joins Armenian Club FC Van
Nigerian U-20 defender Ime Sampson has completed a move to Armenian top-tier side FC Van, marking a significant step in his burgeoning football career.
The center-back, who was a key player for the Nigeria Flying Eagles under Ladan Bosso at the recent African Games, joins FC Van on a contract that begins this August.
Sampson’s impressive performances in the past year have earned him this move to Europe. He was a standout in the 2023 Akwa Ibom State Governors Cup tournament, which caught the attention of scouts.
Following his success, Sampson signed with Dakkada FC for the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season, where he continued to shine. His ability to score goals as a defender and his commanding presence on the field were crucial for Dakkada FC.
