This regional qualifier features Nigeria, Liberia, and host Côte d’Ivoire, all vying for the sole ticket to the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s AfroBasket scheduled to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, later in August.

Côte d’Ivoire, which has previously earned two silver medals in five appearances at the U18s, is eager to make a return to the podium for the first time since 2014. They are counting on their home advantage to push them past Nigeria and Liberia.
Nigeria, having only appeared in the final rounds of the U18 championship twice—2008 and 2010—where they won a silver medal, is keen to make a significant return to the competition after an absence since 2010.
