Nigerian defender Ekerette Udom joins Spanish side Villareal B
Nigerian defender Ekerette Udom has signed with Spanish side Villarreal B, as exclusively reported by SportsRation. The towering Nigerian flew into Spain to finalise the move, and has penned a three-year contract with the club.
Villarreal B, the reserve team for Villarreal CF, is based in Villarreal, Valencia. Founded in 1999, the team plays in the Primera Federación – Group 2 and hosts its home games at the Estadio de la Cerámica, which has a capacity of 23,008 seats.
Last season, Ekerette Udom played for Rivers United FC in the CAF Confederation Cup, having joined from Sunshine Stars. The defender began his career with Ibom Youths FC in his hometown of Akwa Ibom State. He has also had stints with Nasarawa United, Dakkada FC in the NPFL, and was a founding player for Vandrezzer FC in the Nigeria National League.
