Nigerian Footballer Elizabeth Johnson Confirmed Dead

A Nigerian Women Football League player Elizabeth Johnson has been confirmed dead by her club Sunshine Queens of Akure.

According to a Club statement issued by the Media officer Femi Atolagbe, the deceased trained with her teammates on Friday 18th March 2022 .

She complained of Fever and Dizziness on Saturday 19th March 2022 and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, she gave up the ghost at the Hospital .

The NWFL Club who were in midweek held to a draw on Matchday 11 of the ongoing football season have been thrown into shock and grief over the goalkeepers Sudden demise.
