Nigerian footballer rejects 77 million naira bid for Cristiano Ronaldo signed jersey
Nigerian footballer, Saviour Godwin has turned down offers of up to 77 million naira for the jersey Cristiano Ronaldo signed for him.
Godwin, who met Ronaldo in November 2023 during a match between Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Alakhdoud in Saudi Arabia, explained that he had received many offers from people wanting to buy the shirt. These offers ranged from $20,000 to $50,000, which is about 77 million naira.
However, Godwin has decided that no amount of money is enough to part with the jersey, as it is a special reminder of his meeting with the football legend.
In a recent game in January, both Ronaldo and Godwin scored as Al Nassr defeated Al Akhdoud 3-1. Despite the high offers, Godwin remains firm in his decision to keep the signed shirt as a prized gift.
