Nigerian Forward Ime Ndon Joins Romanian Side FC UTA Arad

Nigerian forward Ime Ndon has completed a move to Romanian club FC UTA Arad from Moldovan champions FC Milsami, SportsRation reports.
Ndon confirmed the transfer on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, through his social media page. Sharing photos from his unveiling, the Nigerian striker expressed gratitude as he begins a new chapter in his career.
“It can only be God
New chapter activated
Thank you amazing family here ❤️
We continue together
Thank you @roni layous,” Ndon wrote.
The move comes after an impressive spell with Milsami, where Ndon featured in both the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds and the UEFA Conference League play-offs. He played an important role in the club’s European campaign and left on a strong note.
One of his standout moments came in the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round, where he scored a dramatic last-minute winner to give Milsami a 3–2 home victory over Virtus in the first leg. The match was filled with intensity, goals and red cards, but Ndon’s late strike proved decisive.
Despite Milsami being reduced to nine men, the Nigerian forward showed composure and quality to score in the 89th minute, sealing a famous win. Reacting after the match, he described the goal as one of the most special of his career.
Now, Ndon turns his attention to life in Romania with UTA Arad, a historic club competing in the Romanian SuperLiga. The club is currently eighth on the league table and is preparing for the second half of the season.
UTA Arad have friendly matches scheduled during the winter break, with league action set to resume on January 17, 2026. Ndon will be hoping to settle quickly, make an impact, and continue his rise in European football with his new team.
