Nigerian Striker Akor Adams Leads Europe in Offside Calls This Season

Nigeria and Sevilla striker Akor Adams has been ranked as the most offside player across Europe’s top five leagues in the 2025–26 season, according to Estadio Deportivo.

The Nigerian forward has been flagged offside 22 times, more than Italy’s Moise Kean, Germany’s Ransford Königsdörffer, England’s Evanilson, and France’s Bamba Dieng.

Adams has made 13 appearances for Sevilla this season and has scored two goals. His last goal came in early October during Sevilla’s 4-1 win over Barcelona. Since then, he has gone seven straight matches without scoring.

Despite his goal drought, Adams remains an important player for the team. He completed the full match in Sevilla’s 1-1 draw with Valencia on Sunday and continues to play a central role in their attack.

Across Europe’s major leagues, no other striker has matched Adams’ 22 offside calls, making him the clear leader in this statistic.

On the international front, Adams has impressed by scoring twice in his first four appearances for Nigeria and has been named in Eric Chelle’s provisional 54-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
