Nigerian striker bags UEFA Europa Conference League goal of the season
Nigerian striker Terem Moffi has bagged the UEFA Europa Conference League goal of the season recognition for his acrobatic strike vs FC Basel.
As compiled by the UEFA’s Technical Observer panel, Terem Moffi’s acrobatic finish in OGC Nice 2-2 draw at FC Basel in the quater-final clash on 13th April, 2023 ranked as the best of the 2022/2023 UEFA Europa Conference League season.
Moffi and French Ligue One club OGC Nice eventually bowed out of the competition in that round but the Nigerian striker had done just enough to earn the goal of the season award.
Another Nigerian features in 4th place on the list. Villareal winger Samuel Chukwueze is recognized for his strike on matchday one vs Lech Poznan .
