Nike unveals Cristiano Ronaldo new boots – The Portuguese Superstar will launch them in Russia

Cristiano Ronaldo has a new pair of football boots but because they were ‘created specifically for the world’s best player’, you can’t have them.

Nike have created the CR7 Mercurial Campeoes to mark what has been a tremendous year for Ronaldo – even by his own very high standards.

Over the last 12 months the Portugal star won his first international title by triumphing at Euro 2016 and was part of a Real Madrid side that became the first team to retain the European Cup in the Champions League era. Plus he won La Liga, secured another Ballon d’Or and scored a crazy amount of goals.

The new boots are red with a dash of green, in recognition of the success with Portugal. The rest is all gold because that is the colour of a champion.

Ronaldo will don the blingy special edition footwear at this summer’s Confederations Cup in Russia.
