Nike unveils new Super Eagles jersey

Nike has officially unveiled the 2024 home and away kits for Nigeria national team, the Super Eagles. SportsRation reports on Monday, March 18.

The announcement came through a video shared on Nike’s social media platforms, putting an end to the anticipation and speculation that had surrounded leaked designs.

For the first time in three years, the Super Eagles will don white as their home kit, while the green jersey, traditionally Nigeria’s home kit, will serve as the away kit.

Initial excitement among Nigerian football fans for a new jersey before the Africa Cup of Nations tournament was quelled when the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) issued a statement debunking rumors of a new kit.

The new home jersey features green-white-green tape on the sleeves and shorts, adorned with a faded eagle design on the front. Notably, the Super Eagles logo is absent from the jersey but appears on the shorts, while Nike’s logo is in red, a deviation from the usual Super Eagles color scheme.

The jersey, crafted with “Dri-Fit Adv,” is priced at £124.99 on the Nike online store, equivalent to approximately two hundred and fifty thousand Naira.

With the Super Eagles scheduled to face Ghana and Mali in less than four days, fans are eager to see the team debut the new jersey in Marrakech, Morocco.
