Nnadozie brilliant again, as Paris FC defeat Real Madrid in Women’s Champions League
Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was brilliant again as Paris FC secured a 1-0 victory against Real Madrid in Spain during a UEFA Women’s Champions League Group D match on Wednesday night.
This win marked the second consecutive victory for Paris FC over Real Madrid after their earlier 2-1 triumph in the first leg last week. In that game, Nnadozie stopped a penalty to help his team to victory.
In the second leg, Paris FC’s Gaetane Thiney emerged as the hero by converting a penalty in the 79th minute, securing the crucial victory.
Chiamaka Nnadozie played a pivotal role in the win, making three saves and winning three duels during the match.
This victory propelled Paris FC to their second win in four group-stage games.
The French side is currently placed third in Group D with six points. Chelsea leads the group with eight points, followed by Hacken with seven points. Real Madrid occupies the bottom position with just one point.
Paris FC will now prepare for their upcoming match, as they are set to face Hacken in Sweden.
The impressive performances by Chiamaka Nnadozie and her teammates have heightened their chances of progressing to the knockout stage in the 2023/2024 UEFA Women’s Champions League.
