NNL enters fans-engaging partnership with FRCN

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has struck a fans-engaging deal with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) to broadcast live commentaries of all Super Eight playoff matches.

George Aluo, the league’s chairman, revealed this partnership in a conversation with NNL Media.

Aluo expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stressing that it would allow Nigerians across the country to follow the games from start to finish. He praised FRCN, the largest radio network in Africa, for agreeing to air the matches live.

“This partnership marks a historic moment for our league,” Aluo stated. “For the first time, FRCN will broadcast our matches live. This means that football enthusiasts in even the most remote villages of Nigeria can tune in and stay updated on the competition, as Radio Nigeria covers all parts of the country.”

Aluo extended his gratitude to Dr. Mohammed Bulama, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of FRCN, and his management team for their support of the league.

The Super Eight playoff tournament is scheduled to take place from June 7th to 14th, 2024, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. The eight teams that have qualified for the NNL Promotional Playoff include Nasarawa United, Sporting Supreme of Abuja, Sokoto United, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, Beyond Limits FC of Ikenne, Madiba FC Lagos, Inter Lagos, and Ikorodu Utd also of Lagos.
