NNL: FC ONE Rockets confirm National League return following Kun Khalifat slot exchange
The management of FC ONE Rockets have confirmed they will play in the 2022/2023 Nigeria National League season following a slot exchange with Kun Khalifat FC SportsRation reports.
In a statement released by Management of FC ONE Rockets on Tuesday November 22, the Rockets revealed that Imo state based Kun Khalifat FC have transferred their NNL slot to them with all conditions for the exchange fulfilled and the league board duly communicated.
The Statement read in full;
” We can confirm today that after an agreement by both parties as signed on November 18, 2022, Kun Khalifat FC, Owerri, Imo State have transferred their NNL slot to FC ONE Rockets.
All conditions for the exchange have been met, and the Nigeria National League board has been duly communicated.
FC ONE Rockets finished third from bottom in Southern Conference Group B2 last season and were confirmed relegated.
With the new development, Kun Khalifat will play in the Nationwide League One (NLO) next season, while FC ONE Rockets will feature in the Nigeria National League (NNL)
