No Curry, No Problem as Golden State Warriors defeat Pistons

Suns win 11th straight game, Bucks, Celtics win

Golden State Warriors were without four of their star players as they defeated the Detroit Pistons 105-102 in an away match to improve their record to 14-2 for the season and maintain top spot in the Western Conference.

Golden State Warriors rested Steph Curry, Andre Iguodala, and Draymond Green, three of his side’s biggest stars, due to injury worries after a busy start to the season.

In Curry’s absence, Jordan Poole led the scoring for the Golden State Warriors with 32 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Andrew Wiggins recorded 27 points and five rebounds.

Phoenix Suns picked up their 11th consecutive win of the season with a 112-104 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Chris Paul recorded a double-double of 18 points and 14 assists, and Devin Booker and Mikal Bridges recorded 19 points apiece.

Charlotte Hornets defeated the Indiana Pacers 121-118. Reigning Rookie of the Year, LaMelo Ball contributed a double-double for the Hornets with 32 points and 11 rebounds.

Brooklyn Nets secured a 115-112 win over the Orlando Magic to improve to 12-5 for the season. James Harden finished with a double-double of 36 points and ten rebounds.

Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 130-108 on LeBron James’ return from injury. Jayson Tatum led the scoring for the Boston Celtics with 37 points and 11 rebounds. James recorded 23 points for the Lakers.

New Orleans Pelicans picked up only their third win of the season with a 94-81 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Three players finished with double-doubles, including Jonas Valanciunas, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart. Valanciunas led the scoring with 26 points and 13 rebounds.

Milwaukee Bucks picked up a 96-89 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds. Bobby Portis has 17 points and 13 rebounds in the game.

Chicago Bulls defeated the Denver Nuggets 114-108. Zach LaVine recorded 36 points with five rebounds and four assists for the Bulls, and DeMar DeRozan recorded 26 points. Ayo Dosunmu had ten points and eight rebounds in the game.

Toronto Raptors picked up a 108-89 win over the Sacramento Kings. Pascal Siakam led the scoring with 32 points, eight rebounds and an assist. Precious Achiuwa tallied six points, five rebounds and two assists on his return to the team. Chimezie Metu finished with ten points for the Kings.
