Lobi Stars forward, Waheed Adebayo says there is no pressure to maintain their good form following their 2-1 win against Shooting Stars at the Lafia Stadium on Sunday.
Waheed Adebayo scored the opener for Lobi Stars on Sunday, before Monday Gideon restored parity early in the second half. Orji Kalu scored the winner in the 85th minute from the spot to hand Lobi Stars their 6th win of the season.
In an interview with Sportsration, Waheed Adebayo said it was a tough one against Shooting Stars.
“It was quite a tough game against Shooting Stars but we got the win at the end and that’s the most important thing.
“As a team, we want to continue to be on the top as there is no pressure to maintain our form. We are just doing our job as a team, and I will continue to do more alongside my teammates.
“The State government and management have helped this team in a great way, so we don’t really want to disappoint them and the only way to do that, is to keep getting good results.” Waheed told Sportsration.
Lobi Stars are currently top of the NPFL log after Matchday 10 and will hope to continue their form against Bendel Insurance next weekend.
