No Ronaldo has Serie A announces the 2019/20 League MVPs
Cristiano Ronaldo missed out on the list of the 2019/20 Serie A most valuable players after the Italian football association announced the winners today.
The practice in Serie A is to pick the most valuable for each position and then name an overall player of the season.
Last year, Cristiano Ronaldo who finished fourth on top scorer’s chart with 21 goals behind Krzysztof Piatek (22), Duvan Zapata (23) and Fabio Quagliarella (26) was named the MVP.
But was completely ignored this season as his teammate, Paulo Dybala who contributed 11 goals and 11 assists was picked as the most valuable player.
Juventus goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczęsny was named the best goalkeeper, Inter Milan’s Stefan De Vrij picked up the best defender award.
Atalanta captain Papu Gomez was named the best midfielder and Ciro Immobile who finished as top scorer five goals more than Cristiano Ronaldo 31 named best striker.
