NPFL 2026/27: Rangers Face Katsina United as Opening-Day Fixtures Are Released
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has released the fixtures for the opening day of the 2026/27 season following the official draw held in Ibadan on Friday.
Defending champions Rangers will begin their title defence at home against Katsina United in one of the biggest matches of the opening weekend.
In another exciting fixture, Shooting Stars will host newly promoted Inter Lagos in a South West derby at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
Ikorodu City will welcome Ranchers Bees, while Abia Warriors will take on newly promoted Kun Khalifa.
Bendel Insurance will face Warri Wolves in another regional clash, while Barau FC, also promoted to the NPFL, will host Nasarawa United.
Elsewhere, Niger Tornadoes will entertain Enyimba, Rivers United will host Plateau United, Doma United will face Sporting Lagos, and Kwara United will welcome Kano Pillars.
