The 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season continued with exciting action across the country, with Remo Stars, Enyimba, and Kano Pillars among the big winners of Matchday One.
Abia Warriors 0-2 Remo Stars
Remo Stars began their campaign in style with a 2-0 victory over Abia Warriors. Super Eagles defender Sodiq Ismael broke the deadlock early in the second half, putting the visitors ahead. Fatokun then sealed the win with a second goal, ensuring Remo Stars picked up all three points on the road.

Nasarawa United and Shooting Stars played out a 1-1 draw, with both teams sharing the spoils. Yusuf Anas put Nasarawa United ahead from the penalty spot, but Ayanrinde S. equalized for Shooting Stars, ensuring the visitors left with a point.
