NPFL: Ogunbote Identifies Shooting Stars’ biggest problem

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, has vowed to solve the team’s goal-scoring issues after their latest struggle in front of goal.

The Oluyole Warriors were held to a 0-0 draw by Enyimba on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan. So far, the team has only managed to score three goals in six league matches this season.

Speaking after the game, Ogunbote expressed his frustration with the team’s failure to convert opportunities.

“This is a big challenge for us. Our inability to take risks is part of the problem. If we had taken more risks today, we could have achieved a better result,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.

“But it’s a process. We will keep working with the players to help them understand our playing style.”

Shooting Stars will look to bounce back when they face Rivers United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Thursday. Ogunbote hopes the team’s attacking form will improve in this tough away fixture.
