NPFL: Referees fitness test dates announced as part of preparations for the 2022/2023 season
Traditionally, the fitness test for Referees is a key part of preparations for every football season.
The Nigeria Football Federation-NFF has therefore released dates and details for the referees fitness test in preparation for the 2022/2023 NPFL season.
According to a circular signed by Hon. Sani Zubairu who heads the NFF refereeing department, invited Referees will undergo the tests scheduled to hold from November 16 – 20, 2022 in two batches.
First, Referees from the North West, North East and North Central will arrive Abuja for their medical examination on November 16, have the fitness tests on the 17th before returning home for their Southern Colleagues to have their turn.
The Referees from the South South, South East and South West will have their Medicals on the 18th, participate in the fitness test on the 19th while departure is on the 20th of November.
At the time of this report, no date has been released for the commencement of the 2022/2023 NPFL season but with the release of dates for the Referees fitness tests, it is believed that the Interim Management Committee will announce the league commencement date soon.
