NPFL: Sunshine Stars begins preparations for next season, as team embarks on a 3-day open trial
NPFL side, Sunshine Stars FC of Akure will on Monday start a 3-day open trial as part of it’s preparation programmes for the 2017/18 season.
In a statement released by the Club’s Media Officer, Chris Okunnuwa, Interested players are free to take part in the trial on their own bills. Only successful trialists will be catered for by the Club at the end of the trial on Wednesday 8 November 2017.
Meanwhile, players and officials of the club are expected back from break on Monday 6 November 2017 to commence preparations for the new season.
Sunshine Stars escaped relegation last season on the final day with a 1-0 win over southwest neighbours Remo Stars while the club also got to the semi final of the Aiteo Cup losing 3-2 on aggregate to eventual winners, Akwa United.
