Eleven minutes later, MFM came close when Okorom’s thunderbolt of a free kick was punched out by keeper Yusuf Mohammed for a corner. From then Kano Pillars took control of game pressing their opponents for the second goal but they were denied by the brilliant defending of the trio of Chuka Uwaga, Jonathan Zikiye and Austin Opara.
