NPFL23 Matchday 17: Obioma nets hat-trick as Enyimba drub Gombe, Remo Stars stun Plateau

Chukwuemeka Obioma scored the first hat-trick of the NPFL23 season as he notched his 12th, 13th and 14th league goals in Enyimba’s 5-0 bashing of Gombe United in Aba. The People’s Elephant are on the verge of securing a Super Six slot after the win at home, with Ikenna Cooper and Sadiq Abubakar scoring the other goals to keep them in second place in Group A.
Remo Stars secured a first-ever away win over Plateau United as they came from behind to win 2-1 in their NPFL23 Matchday 17 clash. The home side went ahead through Saidu Salisu before a late comeback from the away side with goals in the last ten minutes from Adams Olamilekan and Lekan Adedayo.
