NPFL23 Matchday Seven: Enyimba win in Gombe, Nasarawa United secures win

Enyimba secured an important win away from home as they defeated Gombe United 2-1 at the Pantami Stadium in their NPFL23 Matchday Seven meeting. The People’s Elephant had to come from behind to secure the win after Taiye Yusuf had put the home side in front with a drilled effort. Enyimba rallied and found a leveller in the first half as Akanni Elijah scored direct from a free-kick. There was late drama in the first half as the home side were awarded a penalty after Phillip Ozor handled the ball in the box, but Yusuf failed to score from the spot. Chukwuemeka Obioma secured maximum points for the visitors with his fifth goal of the season.

Nasarawa United secured their first win of the season as they defeated Kwara United 2-0 in Jos in their NPFL23 Matchday Seven clash. The Solid Miners went in front through former youth international King Osanga before veteran striker Chinedu Ohanachom added a second in the second half to secure maximum points for the home side.
