NPFL24 Matchday 15: Remo Stars leave it late to go top, Sporting Lagos escape home defeat

Remo Stars consolidated top spot in their top-of-the-table NPFL24 Matchday 15 clash with Lobi Stars in Ikenne. The Sky Blue Stars won the encounter 2-0 thanks to two goals in second half added time. Sikiru Alimi opened the scoring in the 91st minute with his tenth goal of the season, before Olamilekan Adams added a second five minutes later.

Sporting Lagos were held at home to a 1-1 draw by strugglers Bayelsa United in their Matchday 15 encounter. Robert Mizo opened the scoring in the first half with his tenth goal of the campaign, before Aliu Salaudeen equalised for the Tech Boys with virtually the last kick of the game.

Kwara United came from behind to defeat Plateau United in Ilorin, winning 2-1 to ease some of the pressure on manager Kabiru Dogo. Albert Hillary opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half before Kabiru Balogun equalised from a direct free-kick for the home side. Sadeeq Yusuf came off the bench to score the winner for his side in the 84th minute.

Niger Tornadoes claimed a late win over Kano Pillars in their NPFL24 Matchday 15 encounter. Bashiru Usman scored to give the Ikon Allah Boys all three points in Kaduna.

Bendel Insurance picked up a narrow 1-0 win over Abia Warriors, thanks to an early goal from Evans Ogbonda.

Struggling Akwa United played out a goalless draw with Sunshine Stars in their NPFL24 Matchday 15 encounter.

Mujeeb Odufeso scored the only goal of the match as Gombe United picked up a 1-0 win over Katsina United at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.

Doma United climbed up to second place with a 1-0 win over bottom club Heartland in their NPFL24 Matchday 15 clash. Defender Nelson Abiam scored his fourth goal of the campaign to give his side all three points.

Enyimba and Rangers played out a 1-1 draw in their Oriental Derby clash at the Enyimba Stadium. Chijioke Mbaoma opened the scoring for the reigning champions before Kazeem Ogunleye equalised for the Flying Antelopes.
