Kano Pillars claimed a massive win at home to North-West rivals Katsina United for their first win of the season in the derby. Sai Masu Gida picked up a 1-0 win thanks to a first-half effort from former Plateau United man Ibrahim Mustapha Yuga.
Doma United picked up a first win of the season by defeating Bayelsa United 2-0 at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. Andrew Majalisa fired home a venomous strike to open the scoring in the first half before providing the assist with a cross for Charles Terwar to score his first for the Savannah Tigers in the second half.
