Odion Ighalo set for big debut against Chelssa despite missing United tour
Contrary to earlier reports that retired Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo would miss United’s trip to Stamford Bridge, fresh reports suggest he would be actively involved.
It was reported earlier in the week that Manchester United newly signed player would miss the Monday night clash against Chelsea due to him missing his clubs training tour as a result of coronavirus fears.
But despite missing the trip to Marbella, Solskjaer has confirmed that the striker will go straight into the squad taking on Chelsea after the winter break.
“Yeah, he is going to travel with us,” he told club media.
“We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp.
“We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.”
United would be hoping Odion Ighalo shoot them into top four with a good result against Chelsea at the Bridge on Monday.
