OFFICIAL: Daniel Daga joins FK Molde from FC ONE Rocket

FC ONE Rocket have officially confirmed that Flying Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Daniel Daga has completed his transfer to Norwegian club FK Molde on a three-year contract. The club made the announcement on their social media handle on Saturday, January 25, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the young Nigerian talent’s career.

Daga, who hails from Benue State, rose through the ranks of the Carabana Football Academy and made his professional debut for FC ONE Rocket during the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League season. His performances on the domestic stage earned him a call-up to Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles.

As a key player for the Flying Eagles, Daga played an instrumental role in their victory at the 2022 WAFU B tournament and contributed to the team’s impressive run at the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in the same year. He further showcased his abilities on the world stage with a starring role at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Daga’s professional journey has also included loan spells at top Nigerian clubs, including Dakkada FC and Enyimba FC. At Enyimba, he played a key role in helping the team secure qualification for the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Known for his versatility, Daga can operate as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or even in central defence, adding depth to FK Molde’s squad. The young Nigerian has already begun training with his new club and is set to make his debut soon.

FC ONE Rocket has expressed its pride in Daga’s development and success, wishing him all the best in his new chapter with FK Molde and beyond. “Everyone at FC ONE Rocket wishes him an amazing time with his new club and the best in all his future endeavors,” the statement concluded.

The move marks a new chapter for Daga as he takes his talents to Europe, where he will look to further his career at one of Norway’s premier footballing institutions.
