OFFICIAL: Ndifreke Effiong joins Iraqi premier league table-toppers Al Quwa Al-Jawiya
Former Nigeria Olympics Eagles utility player Ndifreke Effiong has cut short his Akwa United FC return to join Iraqi Premier League table toppers Al Quwa Al-Jawiya SportsRation reports.
Effiong returned to Nigeria Professional Football League club Akwa United FC in October 2022 after mutual separation from Libyan club Al Ahli Benghazi .
After scoring two goals in three NPFL games for the Promise Keepers, Ndifreke Effiong has moved to Iraq where he will represent Al Quwa Al-Jawiya.
The Air force club on Wednesday February 1, 2023 announced it has completed the signing of the 24-year old Nigerian international alongside Ghana’s Afriyie Acquah.
Founded in 1931, Al Quwa Al-Jawiya is the oldest existing club in Iraq and currently sits top of the 14-weeks old 2022/2023 Iraqi Premier League table.
