Ogun State Govt. Pledge Maximum Support for Gateway Utd Ahead of 2019/2020 NNL

Ogun State government has assured Gateway United FC of adequate support in the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League NNL campaign.

Mr Lekan Olude the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Development and Employment Generation while admonishing the players at their home ground MKO Abiola International stadium said Prince Dapo Abiodun will leave no stone unturned at ensuring the repositioning of the club.

“Ogun State governor Prince Dapo Abiodun is very focused on ensuring that the team (Gateway United FC) regain its lost glory. We will ensure that we bring the team back to where its meant to be, and that started from the stakeholders forum some weeks ago in which we came up with plans which are currently undergoing implementation aimed at bringing out the best out of the players”.

He further expressed confidence in the ability of the management and the technical crew of the club to take the club to a new height.

“I’m very happy to be here. I can see the energy in our players. I’m very confident that we stand a very good chance of winning the match tomorrow. I’m confident of the technical crew. Many of them have won laurels for the nation. so I’m very confident about the team”.

The Head Coach Akeem Busari, meanwhile thanked the state government for its continued support, while promising to leave nothing to chance in Saturday’s opener against Giant Brillars.

Soleye expresed the readiness of the team to make the state proud in the current campaign.
