Ogunmodede Praises Remo Stars’ Team Effort After Beating Akwa United In Uyo
Remo Stars technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, has praised his team’s collective effort following their thrilling 2-1 victory over Akwa United in Sunday’s Week 20 Nigeria Premier Football League match.
In a dramatic comeback at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa United took the lead in the first half with Uche Sabastine’s goal. However, Remo Stars responded strongly in the second half. Samuel Anakwe equalised in the 73rd minute, and Olamilekan Adebayo scored the winner with just six minutes remaining, securing all three points for his side.
Ogunmodede was quick to highlight the team’s collective spirit in securing the win. “It was a massive comeback victory,” he said. “I’m delighted to kick-start the second half of the season on a positive note.”
