Okocha hoping Chukwueze rewards Eguavoen trust
Former Eagles captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha is hoping for a solid performance from Samuel Chukwueze when Nigeria face Sudan today to reward coach Austin Eguavoen trust in him.
Nigeria play their Group D matchday 2 clash today against Sudan at the Stade Roumde Adjia for a place in the last round.
A win today makes it two wins in row and a place in the knockout stages and Jay Jay Okocha is hoping Samuel Chukwueze would play a big role.
The Villarreal forward was a no show in the first game against Egypt as Nigeria played mostly through Simon Moses flank until Chidera Ejuke’s introduction.
Ejuke who played for less than 20 minutes had more impact on the game than Samuel who started and played for more than 70 minutes.
And Okocha while talking during his punditory role with SuperSports says he is expecting a good display from Chukwueze.
“I hope Samuel will do well today as he didn’t show up in the first game,” says Okocha
“The coach has shown a lot of believe in him and hopefully he will repay him.”
