Ola Aina names Bukayo Saka as the Best Player in the Premier League

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has caused a stir with his choice for the best player in the Premier League.

Despite several of his Super Eagles teammates playing in England’s top flight, Aina overlooked them and selected a different star who has been shining this season.

Aina’s Top Premier League Pick

Appearing on the Filthy Fellas podcast, Aina was asked who he believes is the best player in the Premier League. After a brief pause, the Nigerian international confidently named Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, saying, “He does it every game, every game [it is] Saka.”

Saka, who has Nigerian heritage but represents England internationally, has been outstanding for Arsenal this season. Before his recent injury, the winger had scored five goals and provided ten assists in just 16 Premier League matches.

Saka vs Salah: Aina’s Take

While many fans might agree with Aina’s pick, some might argue in favour of Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who has been in incredible form this season. Salah has netted 15 goals and delivered 11 assists in the same number of matches as Saka.

Addressing Salah’s form, Aina admitted, “Mo Salah? Yeah, he’s up there, but bro…” firmly placing Saka ahead in his rankings.

Aina himself has been in fine form for Nottingham Forest, playing a key role in the team’s performances this season. Meanwhile, Fulham’s Alex Iwobi is also making waves as one of the most in-form Super Eagles players in the Premier League.
