Ola Aina Returns to Training at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has returned to team training as he continues his recovery from a long-term injury.
Aina has been out of action for several weeks due to the injury, which also ruled him out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
There is now growing optimism at the City Ground after the defender resumed group training with his teammates. However, Dyche said Aina is still some distance away from full match fitness.
Speaking on the player’s condition, Dyche explained that the club is taking a careful approach to his recovery.
“Aina is halfway through his fitness progress. He is training more regularly with the team now, which is good, but it has been a long-term injury, so we have had to be careful,” Dyche said.
“He is still a bit of a way off full fitness. He has been out for a long time, and it takes longer to reach that level, but he is making good progress.”
Nottingham Forest’s medical team will continue to monitor Aina closely as he builds up his fitness, with the club keen to avoid any setback before he returns fully to competitive action.
