Ola Aina set for London return?
Super Eagles defender Olaoluwa Aina is set for a return to London from Italy according to reports.
Sky Sports says Ola Aina could be returning to west London to join Fulham on loan, just a year after the Nigeria international defender left Chelsea for Torino on a permanent move.
The Chelsea Academy graduate spent a season on loan at the Serie A club in 2018/19 and signed for the club on a permanent basis after they took up an option on him in June 2019.
The 23-year-old appeared in 37 matches and netted 3 goals for Torino last season but now appears to be on his way out of Italy.
‘The ex-Chelsea youngster is set to join the Cottagers on an initial season-long loan, with the deal expected to be completed by the middle of the week,’ states the report.
‘Fulham will have the option to make Aina’s loan a permanent transfer for a figure in the region of £11m.
‘Former England youth international Aina is a graduate of Chelsea’s academy and spent over a decade at the club. He spent the 2017-18 campaign away on loan at Hull before making a season-long loan move to Torino the following year.’
