Ola Aina’s Future at Nottingham Forest Looks Positive, Says Former Man United Scout

Ola Aina’s future at Nottingham Forest is looking good, according to Mick Brown, a former chief scout for Manchester United.

Aina, who plays as a right-back, has a contract that ends this season. Forest are working hard to give him a new contract. The 28-year-old has been very important for the team this season, playing in all 20 of their league games. His performances have helped Forest move up to third place in the Premier League.

Because of his strong play, big clubs like Manchester City are interested in Aina, with some reports saying they may want him as a possible replacement for Kyle Walker.

Despite this, Brown believes that Forest are making good progress in trying to keep Aina. Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has also said he wants to keep the team together in the January transfer window, even though Aina’s contract situation is uncertain.

Brown, who has worked with many top players, praised Aina’s performances this season, mentioning his strong defense and ability to attack. He also said that Aina has improved a lot over the years, starting as a youth player at Chelsea, then playing at Hull City, moving to Italy, and now making a big impact at Forest.

“They’re desperate to get him tied down,” Brown said. “I think the talks will progress quickly, and I believe they’ll come to an agreement soon. From what I know, he’s happy there, and they want him to stay, so it makes sense.”

Nottingham Forest signed Aina on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 after his contract ended at Torino.
