Olayinka and Slavia Prague teammates celebrate getting Chelsea in Europa League quarter-final
Peter Olayinka and his Slavia Prague teammates were in joyous mood upon learning that Chelsea would be their quarterfinal opponents.
When the draws for the 2019 Europa League quarter-finals was made Chelsea immediately became many pundits and fans favourite to go through instead of their opponents Slavia Prague.
But the Czech champions seriously fancy their chances against the 2012, 2013 Champions League and Europa League winners.
Having defeated Sevilla who were the winners of the three out of the last five Europa League titles, Slavia Prague players believe they can beat anyone.
“It’s not normal. Playing against Chelsea after Sevilla. Another fantastic game. Chelsea might be an even better opponent, but nobody really expected anything from us against Sevilla either. We know how to play against these types of teams,” said Slavia Prague striker Mick van Buren.
Slavia Prague will host Chelsea in the first on April 19 at the Eden Arena before travelling to Stamford Bridge for the return legs.
