Olisa Ndah helps Orlando Pirates to CAF Confederations Cup final in Uyo

Former Akwa United Fc of Uyo Defender Olisa Ndah was instrumental to South Africa’s Orlando Pirates seeing off Libyan giants Al Ahly Tripoli in the second semi final of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday evening.

 

The Bucanneers led 2-0 from the first leg and needed to avoid heavy defeat to progress to the final billed for 20th May 2022 at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium, Uyo Nigeria.

 

Olisa Ndah and the Bucs did everything to deny the Visitors until Arquob A. scored for Al Ahly Tripoli in the 88th minute to half the aggregate score and setup what was a nervy finish to the game at the Orlando Pirates stadium.

 

Orlando Pirates lost 0-1 on the evening but progressed to the final 2-1 on aggregate .

 

Orlando Pirates will face Morrocan side RSB Berkane in the final after the the latter defeated TP Mazembe 4-1 in the second semi final for a 4-2 aggregate Score.

 

The 2022 CAF Confederation Cup final will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium in Uyo , Akwa Ibom State Nigeria’s land of Promise on Friday 20th May 2022.

 

Kickoff time is yet to decided by Africa’s football governing body CAF.
